For generations, families, entrepreneurs, artists and community leaders built a corridor where music, business, and culture were experienced in harmony. Known as Denver’s Harlem of the West, Welton Street became a place where ideas turned into institutions and storefronts became stages.
A Business Improvement District allows business and property owners to pool resources and reinvest directly in their neighborhood. The Five Points Business Improvement District (FP BID) champions a corridor rooted in cultural depth, community resilience and generations of entrepreneurial spirit. We invest in placemaking, economic activity and community pride so that the corridor’s next chapter is as dynamic as its past.
Our BID exists to strengthen the Welton Corridor in ways that matter, supporting the businesses that anchor it and shaping an environment where shared success is possible.
The Five Points Business Improvement District lives on the historic Welton Corridor — a high-energy stretch between 20th and 30th Avenue, with FP BID properties included on both sides of the street between California Street to the north and Glenarm Place to the south. This is the core of the district. Where the work happens. Where the culture shows up.
Set within the broader Five Points neighborhood, the Welton Corridor sits just northeast of Downtown Denver — close to Ballpark and RiNo — and anchored by The Point, one of the city’s most iconic intersections. Pop-ups at The Point like The Fifth Coffee Shop, alongside new and historic businesses, give the corridor its shape and character. With strong transit access and a constant pulse of opportunity, this is Five Points in motion and on the rise.
Help turn the streets into a stage. Submit an event (music, festivals, art, experiences), discount, special menu, or a limited offering that attract neighbors and visitors.
Are you on the come up? Reach out the BID if you’re interested in starting or relocating your business, finding properties for lease or sale. We’re here to share our legacy and help you build your own.
